PMP Guide (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates pmp-guide.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit the site, how we use it, and your choices. We keep it simple — we are not in the business of selling your data.

1. Information We Collect

Email address — only if you voluntarily subscribe to our study newsletter. We use this solely to send PMP exam prep content. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Usage and behavioural data — we use a few analytics tools to understand how visitors use the site:

• Vercel Analytics — collects anonymous page view data (page URL, referrer, country, device type). No cookies are set. No personally identifiable information is stored.
• Google Analytics — collects data about how visitors use our site, including pages viewed, session duration, referral source, and general location, using cookies (such as _ga) and similar technologies. We use this information in aggregate to understand traffic patterns and improve the site. • Microsoft Clarity — captures how you use and interact with our website through behavioural metrics, heatmaps, and session replay. Website usage data is captured using first and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies to determine the popularity of content and online activity. • Google AdSense — we display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google uses cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites on the internet. We do not collect payment information or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

3. Cookies

Vercel Analytics operates without cookies. Microsoft Clarity uses first and third-party cookies for session recordings and heatmaps. Google AdSense uses the DoubleClick DART cookie to serve relevant ads based on your browsing history across sites.

Your mock test scores and Question of the Day streak are saved in your own browser's local storage so you can track progress without an account. Unless you create an account, this data never leaves your device, and you can clear it at any time (the mock test page has a Reset button, or clear your browser's site data).

Optional accounts. If you create an account (email and password, or Sign in with Google), we store your email address, your name and profile picture if provided by Google, and your saved mock test results (scores, dates, and the answers you chose) so you can see your history. Accounts are managed by our database provider, Supabase. Signing in keeps a session cookie in your browser. We only add you to the daily question email if you tick that option. You can delete your account and all saved results at any time from the My Progress page.

You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings. To opt out of personalised Google ads specifically, visit Google's Ad Settings. By continuing to use this site you consent to cookies being used as described above.

4. Data Retention

Newsletter email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe. Clarity session data is retained for 13 months per Microsoft's data retention policy. Vercel Analytics data is aggregated and does not identify individuals.

5. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your email from our newsletter list at any time by replying to any newsletter email or contacting us directly. For data held by Microsoft (Clarity), refer to the Microsoft Privacy Statement for your options.

6. Children's Privacy

This site is intended for adults preparing for professional certification. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 16.

7. Disclaimer

PMP Guide is an independent study resource and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Project Management Institute (PMI). “PMP” and “PMBOK” are registered trademarks of PMI.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
